Monroe County, Florida - home to the Florida Keys - is seeking a strategic and experienced Risk Manager to lead and administer the County’s comprehensive risk management and insurance programs.

This highly responsible professional position serves within the County Attorney’s Office and plays a vital role in safeguarding County assets and minimizing liability exposure. The Risk Manager provides expert guidance to County leadership on risk mitigation strategies while ensuring the effective administration of insurance programs, claims management, and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will oversee all County property, casualty, liability, and supplemental insurance programs; manage liability claims and coordinate litigation efforts; review contracts for insurance and risk provisions; administer the uninsured loss fund; and supervise Risk Management staff. This role requires frequent collaboration with County leadership, outside counsel, insurance carriers, consultants, and departments across the organization.
