A well-established global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Regulatory Accountant to join their finance team on a contract basis. This business is known for its strong governance framework, collaborative culture, and focus on continuous improvement across finance and reporting functions.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager of External Reporting, this role will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely regulatory, financial, and head office reporting. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory obligations, and internal controls.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation and review of local regulatory reporting returns
• Head office financial reporting and monthly submissions
• Support half-year and year-end statutory reporting processes
• Liaising with auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders
• Maintaining strong controls, reconciliations, and documentation
• Identifying opportunities to improve and automate reporting processes
• Assisting with ad hoc finance projects and reporting requests

About You

• CA / CPA qualified (or near completion)
• Experience in regulatory or financial reporting
• Strong understanding of IFRS / accounting standards
• Knowledge of APRA reporting highly regarded
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
