About Commerce City:

Situated minutes from downtown Denver and Denver International Airport (DIA). Commerce City covers 35-square miles and is easily accessible of major highways. Commerce City is the home of Major League Soccer’s Colorado Rapids and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, one of the country’s largest soccer complexes. There are 700 acres of parks and open space throughout the community and over 25 miles of trails, some
that link to the larger regional trail system of Sand Creek Regional Greenway, Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, and Barr Lake State Park.

The Commerce City Police Department is a progressive agency that strives for excellence, leadership, and superior service in its partnership with the community that it serves. The police department employs over 100 full-time, professional personnel dedicated to providing high quality, cost effective police services to the community. The police department is comprised of three divisions: patrol operations, support operations and administration. These divisions are comprised of multiple units that work together to accomplish the department’s goals, objectives and mission. We are
