- Shared Financial Services Accountant
Description
Primary Function
The Shared Financial Services Accountant provides fulfillment of the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits' outsourced accounting services.
The Shared Services Program is growing, and multiple PT and FT positions are available. The department provides fee-for-service
financial management services to Oklahoma nonprofits on a contract basis. The Shared Financial Services Accountant must be a wellorganized
self-starter with excellent time management skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication
skills, be customer focused, responsive and flexible, and be able to work independently and as a team to ensure that the financial
management services delivered represent the Center's commitment to nonprofit excellence. The Shared Financial Services Accountant
also provides consulting services in the area of accounting and finance, per contractual agreements entered by the Center.
Essential Functions
Accountant
- Analyze financial transactions and prepare reports, ensuring accuracy in financial documents, expenditures,
and investments. - Oversee ledger reconciliation, including month-end closing process.
- Prepares or assists with grant reporting and compliance, including government grants.
- Stays informed on industry developments and changes in regulation.
- Prepare financial reports from accounting software, as needed.
- Meet deadlines and manage deliverables for multiple organizations.
- Meet regularly with clients.
- Attend finance committees to explain financial statements.
- Deliver/explain financial reports to Board of Directors.
Administration and Other Duties
- Generate reports for staff and the board of directors as requested.
- Maintain professionalism, organizational standards and confidentiality as a representative of OKCNP to all donors, members,
and other key stakeholders. - Recruit and retain volunteers, donors, interns, and other partners as necessary.
- Represent OKCNP's values in working with clients and colleagues.
Other Functions
- Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Shared Financial Services or the CFO.
- Ability to travel throughout the state and outside of Oklahoma as needed.
- Engage in professional development activities such as training, conferences, research and coaching.
- Participate in OKCNP’s special events, including ONE and Visions, and board meetings as requested.
- Provide general administrative functions such as expense reporting, budget oversight, consultation with other team members,
and attendance at scheduled meetings. - May be asked to attend client governance and committee meetings.
- Always maintain the strictest of confidentiality.

across the state, especially as it relates to on-line learning and uses of technology in instruction. - Ability to work independently, and as part of the team, balancing autonomy and team-integration.
- Work inter-departmentally with communications, marketing, external affairs, and administration.
- Provide data dashboards to board and staff and assist with making data-based decisions.
- Represents Center’s values in working with clients and colleagues.
Requirements
Education and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. In lieu of a degree, job experience will be accepted with the
approval of the President and CEO. - Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel).
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).

- Senior Director of Shared Financial Services.
