Senior Accountant

The incumbent will have an advanced understanding and working knowledge of accounting principles and concepts. In addition to performing such accounting functions as accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow processes, G/L journal entries, bank reconciliations, payroll processing, record-keeping, month-end close processes, annual audit preparation, and other related tasks, the incumbent will assist in the day-to-day administrative and general office support tasks to include assisting in special project research & analysis, handling incoming & outgoing mail, ordering office supplies and other such tasks.

Manages the day-to-day business operations of a large University unit/department. Assists in short- and long-term strategic strategies and planning. Oversees resources, monitors budgets, and analyzes expenses. Tracks event income and oversees departmental-event invoicing and tracking.
