Selby Jennings is currently working with an AIFM firm based out of Luxembourg for a search on a Junior Risk Officer (m/w/d) AIFM role.

Main responsibilities:

• Support the CRO directly in risk management for alternative investment funds (AIFs).
• Conduct risk assessments, stress testing, and contribute to investment committee reviews.
• Prepare risk and activity reports for senior management, board, clients, and regulator.
• Coordinate with external parties and assist in regulatory compliance (CSSF, AIFMD, ESMA).
• Use Excel for financial modeling and reporting-no coding required.

Your profile:

• Proven experience in AIFs, asset management, or fund services.
• Degree in finance, economics, or mathematics; financial modeling experience preferred.
• Fluent in English; German or Italian is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills; understanding of financial instruments and risk concepts.
• Familiarity with alternative fund strategies and relevant regulations.
