An accounting professional performing both Financial and Management accounting. This role is critical in the production of financial information for key stakeholders, both internally and externally. While the team progresses through a period of transition with the introduction of a new GL the Team needs a person that can add value, and make improvements,

Main Responsibilities:

1.Production of the Daily Regulatory Reporting (Daily Liquidity Returns, NSFR, Daily Capital, Large Exposure)

2.Production of the Daily PL and Daily Trial Balance

3.Preparation of the month end Management accounts providing analysis of performance against budget. This includes the pack to ALCO and EXCO. Briefing the CFO on major movements and investigating movements where required.

4.Working as part of the team to produce the Financial/Statutory accounts and respond to requests from the external auditors.

5.To assist with the production of the Annual Budget process. Ensuring a good audit trail of all assumptions.

6.Preparation of the quarterly VAT return, in accordance with the PESM agreed with the HMRC.

7.Assist with the Corporation Tax returns, and preparation of the quarterly Corporation Tax payment.

8.Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly. This includes the maintenance of accruals and prepayments schedules.

9.Oversight and supervision of the Accounts Payable analyst. Review and provide guidance of Nostro reconciliations, and other ledger bookings.

10.Assist in the Preparation of Pillar 2, and quantitative input for the ICAAP and ILAAP documents as required.

11.Maintain and update departmental procedures.

12.Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required and directed by the Head of Financial Control or Deputy.

13.Support the Regulatory reporting team with their BAU work as required.

14.Keep up to date with changes and best market practice.

15.Co-operatively work with other team members and liaise with other departments as necessary.

16.Adhere to Bank's policies and procedures and keep line managers informed of any matter as appropriate.

Experience & Skills required:

-A qualified accountant CIMA/ACCA/ACA

-Financial Services experience preferable

-A positive would-be exposure to accounting for fixed interest financial instruments or a key willingness to learn.

- An individual who takes a strong pride in their work with a focus on the key deliverable dates.

-Strong computer skills - excellent working knowledge of Excel.

-Proven ability in English in respect of written and verbal communication. Able to provide examples of communications with external auditors and drafting accounting papers.

-Oracle Flexcube knowledge desirable

-Ideally some knowledge and overview of regulatory reporting,

-To have great interpersonal skills, and experience of working with senior management.

-Strong technical skills and ability to manage deadlines

-To be able to make improvements where necessary.
