Description

An exciting opportunity has opened within a global investment banking group to drive large-scale data governance transformation within its risk management function.

This role will play a key part in strengthening enterprise-wide risk management capabilities, including stress testing, new product approval processes, and integrated risk control frameworks. Working closely with teams across Tokyo, New York, London, Hong Kong, and Singapore, you will lead strategic initiatives to improve data quality, governance frameworks, and regulatory readiness.
Key Responsibilities

• Drive data governance and data quality management initiatives across market and credit risk domains.
• Support enterprise-wide enhancements in risk management frameworks, including stress testing and integrated risk controls.
• Develop and execute improvement roadmaps through participation in cross-functional global forums.
• Lead global coordination and problem-solving with senior stakeholders including CROs, risk executives, and overseas offices.
• Support regulatory response activities and ensure governance frameworks align with internal and external requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:

• Experience in risk management (Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk) or in planning/regulatory/compliance-related functions.
• Strong knowledge of data in risk and finance domains such as exposure, risk measurement, and risk reporting, or hands-on experience in data governance / data management.
• Experience supporting risk transformation, governance, or control improvement initiatives is highly valued.

Soft Skills:

• Ability to build strategic plans and drive execution by influencing stakeholders across departments and regions.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with global teams.
• High interest in supporting senior leadership decision-making from a risk management perspective.

Language Requirements:

• Japanese: Fluent
• English: Fluent (business-level communication required)

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience leading strategic initiatives involving global stakeholders across multiple regions.
• Strong interest in working in risk planning functions supporting senior management decision-making.
• Experience in regulatory 대응 (financial authority response) or internal governance improvement projects.
