Salary: 120-180K base + bonus (20-50% average) + 8% pension

With a banking and capital markets consulting service line of over 200 consultants, our client has built a significant footprint in the market and has continued to do particularly well in front office-facing engagements.

The way the market is moving, more and more transformation work is being signed off by first line stakeholders in banks. The current team is roughly split between operational efficiency, risk and controls and governance-type programmes at various FS businesses. The focus is largely big, full-service investment banks. There is also a focus on regulatory-driven initiatives that demand a mix of good 'change' delivery and regulatory knowledge.

We are looking for experienced Directors who are ambitious and want to press on towards Partner in a hybrid delivery and sales model. The leadership in this team note there are several exciting roles for Directors in a much flatter structure than one normally sees; Partners and Directors work closely and share responsibility. The ideal person is comfortable delivering whilst also comfortable building their network, selling and responding to RFPs.

Examples of the type of projects going on:

1. A major bank performing a cost / benchmarking exercise to look at its operating model across the sales and trading business
2. Sales and trading controls programme looking at controls and data integrity challenges
3. Supervisory framework analysis and operating model work
4. Governance model / framework analysis at multiple banks
5. Market conduct enhancement programme
6. AI/automation-driven initiatives
7. Regulatory-driven programme has stalled or management unsure of what the regulator needs; expertise needed to adhere to deadlines and get programmes over the line

We're looking for:

1. Tier 1 consulting experience
2. Sales and trading expertise, delivering into front office stakeholders and classic front to back engagements
3. Broad capital markets knowledge and understanding whether topics be risk and controls, structural efficiency, risk operating models etc.
4. Ambitious team players who want to grow with a team; we have spent 10 years hiring for this client and the people are smart, focused and career-driven and many external joiners left other big consulting names to work in a stronger peer group
5. Empathetic and considered managers who enjoy developing others as much as improving themselves
6. Long term minded - this firm invests in people; many consultants have built successful careers since graduation; generally, if they decide on a direction, they commit fully vs. speculatively growing
