R_303864 - Construction Insurance Consultant - Insurance Delay Claims and Construction Progress Monitoring ServicesWe are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Solutions team at Marsh. This role will be based in the UK. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Marsh's Claims Solutions is a leading provider of construction insurance claims consulting services, specialising in complex material damage, delay and quantum claims preparation. We provide clients with a claim project management service across various industries across all forms of construction including civils, infrastructure, utilities, oil and gas, and power and energy.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering expert services in delay claims and progress monitoring, ensuring that our clients receive comprehensive support throughout the lifecycle of their construction projects and to manage their complex Construction & Erection All Risks (CAR/EAR) insurance claims.
We will count on you to:
- Insurance Delay Claims Management - Preparation and management of Delay in Start-Up (DSU) claims.
- Forensic analysis to ascertain critical delays caused by insured losses and differentiate them from uninsured delays.
- Construction Progress Monitoring - Provide ongoing progress monitoring services to assess the status of construction projects, focusing on time management and identifying potential delays.
- Review project schedules and baseline programs to ensure they are reasonable and aligned with project objectives.
- Identify recovery routes for delays and advise clients on the implications of delays on project timelines and costs.
- Insurance Advisory - Collaborate with clients to support insurance placement, including conducting delay in start-up reviews and calculating proposed DSU declared values.
- Offer risk management advice and assist clients in understanding their contractual positions regarding insured and non-insured events.
- Client Engagement - Serve as a single point of contact for clients regarding forensic delay claims and progress monitoring services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and resolution of issues.
What you need to have:
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g. PMI, PMP, AACE) is a plus.
- experience in construction consulting, with a focus on insurance delay claims and project monitoring.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, insurance policies, and risk management principles.
