Manager Risk Management
Full-time, Day shift
Pay range = $77K – 123K annualized

The Manager of Risk will initiate, coordinate, and manage all investigational and evaluation activities associated with professional and general liability occurrences and claim pre-litigation matters. This position acts as primary resource for risk management concerns to include but not limited to investigation, analysis, reporting, resolution, and in some cases, education to prevent further events from occurring. Works in a collaborative manner with RRMC leadership, the quality department, staff, and providers to identify, recommend, and modify practices, policies, and procedures to mitigate risk. The Manager of Risk will work under the direction of the General Counsel and will collaborate with professional liability carriers to manage all aspects of claims.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, or other relevant field.
• Master of Science in Nursing or Juris Doctorate highly desirable
  
  

Minimum Work Experience

• 3 years’ previous experience working in a healthcare setting is required.
• 3 years’ of risk management experience preferred.
  
  

Required Licenses/Certifications

• R.N. (or other clinical license) or Licensed Attorney is highly desirable.
• CPHRM (Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management) *

*or obtained within 24 months of hire.
