A day in the life.
As our Placement Specialist on the Business Insurance team, you'll provide support to the marketing operations within offices across the region, ensuring the retention and acquisition of quality clients. You'll be responsible for preparing submissions for our carrier partners, preparing client presentation materials and ensuring complete and consistent documentation in system of record.
Support to Marketing Operations
Review submissions from Service Team to ensure necessary UW information is received
Prepare draft submission documents and finalize submissions for delivery
Review quotes against specifications and develop side-by side comparisons
Prepare program proposals
Record and maintain all information accurately on the appropriate systems
Review program binders for accuracy against quotes and complete file reviews
Assist marketing team with bind order to carriers
Participate in regular marketing meetings with team members to discuss and review marketing opportunities for both new and renewal business
Work with producers and service staff in the day-to-day marketing of new & renewal commercial lines business
Collect, Distribute and Track Agency Performance with Carrier Partners
Keep team informed of carrier personnel, underwriting and appetite changes
Act as an advisor for producer on sales calls with clients
Participate in prospect and client calls
Provide Business Insurance expertise to producers on client specific issues, meeting directly with the client in support of the producer when needed.
Provide direct customer service to the client on accounts
Proactive Client Service
Gather information and analytics to assess and evaluate client risks in order to support the placement of client risks into the market
Ensure that quality and compliance procedures and processes are adhered to
Participate in discussions on renewal strategy and gather renewal information from client
Work with Client Director/Executive on client servicing as needed
Additional Responsibilities Necessary to Successfully Complete Role
Any other duties that may be assigned
Become efficient in online rating with the carriers that require it
Be the point person for online rating with the marketing team.

Bachelor's degree in business or related field
These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
Property and casualty coverage and risk management knowledge
Must be detailed with excellent organizational and time management skills
Good interpersonal skills and high sense of urgency
Strong interpersonal and sales-related skills in dealing with Producers, Client Executives, Carriers, and Clients
